Pre Marriage Counseling Before Marital Counseling is Needed

"You can pay me now, or you can pay me later." Or, so the saying goes.  Very few couple frontload their relationship with intensive work on improving inner working of their communication skills.  Pre marriage counseling is usually a lick and a promise and doesn't really get at the unique issues that will almost certainly come up in the life of a couple.  Marital counseling usually gets much more attention from a couple because the frustrated couple wants answers.  Pre marriage counseling is often done in a rushed fashion between decisions about the photography, wedding cake, etc.
